CHRISTIANS will be challenged to consult with God about where to put their crosses on their ballot papers next year at an interactive debate on “The Theology of Voting” in Port Elizabeth this week.
Grahamstown College of the Transfiguration rector Barney Pityana will present a paper on the subject at this year’s Nelson Mandela Bay Consultation of Christian Churches, the brainchild of St Stephen’s Anglican Church’s Reverend Zweli Tom.
The consultation, in its third year, is about facilitating discussions within the church. It will be at the Douglas Mbopa Memorial Hall (formerly St Stephen’s Hall) in New Brighton at 10am on Thursday.
