Municipal goods haul found

A CONTAINER loaded with stolen Nelson Mandela Bay municipal property, such as drain covers and street poles, was recovered by the police yesterday, days before it was due to be shipped out of the country.

Hundreds of pandroll springs stolen from railway lines in the Bay were also discovered in the container by the provincial police task team investigating copper theft.

The discovery came after two men from Sydenham were arrested on Thursday last week after they were allegedly caught red-handed with stolen pandroll springs.
