FED up with slow service delivery, a small group of Nelson Mandela Bay residents signed to join the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) yesterday as the party went in search of votes.
The EFF were on the campaign trail outside the Korsten Shopping Centre to convince residents to place their faith in the party in next year’s general election.
EFF, which was launched last month in Marikana, led by Julius Malema, is working to gincrease its memberships nationally and in the Eastern Cape. Earlier this week the party claimed most of its members were former ANC members who would help it gain a big chunk of votes in next year’s general election.
Within minutes of the party’s arrival in Korsten, about 20 residents voluntarily joined, saying they had had enough of empty promises.
