Police in Port Alfred are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Annette Vranas, a 42-year-old mentally unstable woman who was last seen on 25 October 2013.
Vranas was reported missing by her family members and was last seen at her home at 29 Heron Street, Port Alfred. She was wearing a denim dress and grey tights, green tekkies and a head wrap. She is approximately 1.6m tall, has long Rastafarian hair (dreadlocks), big eyes and carries a floral sling bag with books, magazines as well as her medical report.
Vranas is mentally unstable. She was once admitted to a psychiatric institution in Qwaqwa and seen by psychiatrists from Bloemfontein. She also has eczema on both her hands. According to her sister, Heather Jattiem, she has a friendly demeanour and comes across as normal. However, as she continues to speak, one can pick up that her topics of conversation do not make sense.
Anyone who comes across Annette is urged to report her whereabouts to Port Alfred SAPS at 046604 2001 or 08600 10111 or to the nearest police station. Her family can be reached on 073208 6017.
