Mossel Bay FCS seeks information on wanted accused

The Mossel Bay Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) urgently appeals to public to assist them to trace a convicted suspect for whom a warrant of arrest has been issued by the Mossel Bay Magistrates’ Court in 2012. Extensive efforts to trace Ziyad Johardien (Id No. 621227522708) had been unsuccessful up till now.

Johardien was convicted of rape of a minor in March 2010. He was arrested and brought before court where he was found guilty on two counts of rape. He was cautioned to return to court for sentencing, but failed to do so. Subsequently a warrant for his arrest was issued in 2012.

Johardien originates from Cape Town, moved to Kwanonqaba in Mossel Bay where he resided at 82 January Street whilst employed in Mossel Bay. He however resigned after being found guilty and moved out of town. Information has it that he is roaming between Cape Town and Gauteng.
