War against perlemoen poachers gains ground

A HIGH-speed car chase along Port Elizabeth’s beachfront late yesterday resulted in the arrest of two men with about 80kg of perlemoen in their possession.

Police spokesman Captain Stanley Jarvis said three Port Elizabeth Harbour Port of Entry (border policing) officers were at an observation point near the shooting range in Marine Drive when a white Citi Golf with two occupants passed them.

“The suspects drove past the observation point in the direction of Hobie Beach and a high-speed chase ensued. The vehicle was pulled over at Kings Beach.
