ASKING for prayers and privacy, the family of popular Algoa FM presenter Viv Bozack Ngomane have revealed that the friendly 36-year-old, who collapsed on Sunday, is in a “critical but stable condition”.

Family friend Amy Shelver said Ngomane had suffered from a haemorrhagic stroke and was found lying on the floor of his Park Drive flat when his partner came home from church on Sunday.

Haemorrhagic strokes are the result of a weakened vessel that ruptures and bleeds into the surrounding brain area. Ngomane, the father of a two-year-old son, was rushed to hospital by emergency services and immediately put on a respirator.
