Helenvale protesters stop traffic flow

ANGRY Helenvale residents damaged private property yesterday as they protested against favouritism when it comes to job creation in their area.

Protesters burnt tyres, pelted passing cars with stones and closed several roads in Helenvale by burning tyres and placing rocks in the way.

Police blocked a large section of Stanford Road in both directions and motorists were forced to detour through Algoa Park.
