'Silent' cheer for charity

Herald Reporter

MORE than R8000 was raised for The Herald Christmas Cheer fund when the Discovery Wellness Hub in Port Elizabeth was launched last week.

Situated in Conyngham Road near Greenacres, the hub aims to encourage a healthy approach to life. At the launch were 150 guests eager to learn more – and hand over their hard-earned cash to a good cause during a silent auction.

The wellness hub houses a health clinic, biokineticist, psychologist, occupational therapists, dieticians and Discovery's consulting services.

The silent auction consisted of photographic works, and Jenni Gault donated an Angel Collection set consisting of a pendant and matching studs. A total of R8735 was collected.
