Award honours cyber security expert

CYBER safety expert Professor Rossouw von Solms believes being awarded the prestigious South African Institute of Computer Scientists and Information Technologists (SAICSIT) Pioneer Award is a great assurance that his work and contribution is valued.
The award was presented last night at a gala dinner at the annual SAICSIT Conference in East London.
It recognises the pioneering role Von Solms, the head of the Institute for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Advancement in Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University's School of ICT, has played in promoting computer science and information technology as academic disciplines in South Africa.
