Pupil captivates judges with words

ELOQUENT words and a captivating speech were the winning formula for Prince Nwadeyi, 18, who walked away with top honours and a R65000 bursary at this year's Young Communicator Ambassadors Awards last Saturday.

Nwadeyi's enthralling speech titled Ignite beat nine competitors from around South Africa at the Anglo American auditorium in Johannesburg.

"It was very exciting, I was quite hysterical and in shock but at the same time it was also quite humbling," said the young orator.

Nwadeyi's speech dealt with the importance of engaging in the concept of democracy so that the democracy enshrined in the constitution can be actualised.
