A GROUP of 360 students from the Safety in Society (SIS) faculty of the Port Elizabeth College showcased their marching skills as part of the college’s 2013 passing-out parade.

Members from the police, armed forces and public were present at the Dower College in Rensburg Street, West End, for the event.

The Further Educational Training (FET) college prepares students between 16 and 24 for South African Police Service academies or colleges.

Former Western Cape police commissioner and MEC for community safety Lennit Max, who was one of the keynote speakers, said he would like to see SIS-type of colleges all over South Africa.
