THE Department of Health has asked members of the public to help track down the parents or family of a two- day-old baby who was abandoned at the Kenako Mall in Zwide on Tuesday morning.
The little boy, who was admitted to hospital under the name “Unknown Tuesday”, was found wrapped in two jerseys and covered in a quilted bodywarmer.
He was left in a cane picnic basket with a lid right outside the front entrance of the Kenako Mall, which is close to Dora Nginza Hospital.
This is the second time a baby has been abandoned at or near the hospital, with its busy maternity section, since April.
