A PLUCKY Grahamstown couple are hoping to complete 4000km on mountain bikes to raise funds for cerebral palsy.
Dylan Weyer, 30, and his wife, Misty, 28, will mountain bike unsupported from Beitbridge to Cape Point via Lesotho next month.
They hope to raise R300000 for children suffering from cerebral palsy and complete the challenge in fewer than 65 days.
They will be riding the Dragon’s Spine, a public mountain biking route that follows the edge of the escarpment as it runs through South Africa and Lesotho.
The route is made of mostly district roads, as well as jeep and animal tracks, with a few tar exceptions that the couple hope to avoid.
