DEPUTY President Kgalema Motlanthe got his hands dirty at the weekend as he visited different housing projects in Port Elizabeth as part of his War on Poverty campaign.
Motlanthe was joined by Eastern Cape premier Noxolo Kiviet, Nelson Mandela Bay mayor Ben Fihla and other ministers and MECs in a visit to Chatty, Helenvale and Missionvale.
He acknowledged issues raised and promised to pass them on to the relevant officials.
“When there are issues, know that we are at your service. We take your suggestions and we will ensure that as national, provincial and local government we will respond to your issues.
