MY son must just play his normal game and he will be fine” was the advice Fezakele Kolisi gave to his Zwide-born son, Siya, after he was chosen to play for the Springboks against Scotland in Mbombela tomorrow.
“This is one of the happiest days of my life and it is fantastic that Siya is going to wear the Springbok colours.”
Eastern Province rugby officials have hailed Kolisi’s selection for the Springbok rugby team as a classic tale of “triumph over adversity”.
The proud Port Elizabeth father, aged 44, is flying to Johannesburg today so he can watch his son and celebrate Siya’s 22nd birthday on Sunday.
