TWO men who worked fearlessly for change were yesterday honoured by the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University
Former Uitenhage High School principal Henry Hendricks and Hassan Howa, who was a founding member of the SA Cricket Board of Control (Sacboc), received posthumous honorary doctorates.
Howa died in 1992 and Hendricks in 2002.
Hendricks’s doctorate was accepted by his son, Denver, who said the family continued to celebrate the life of his father through the acknowledgements afforded to him for his contribution to the betterment of the society.
