A FORMER Collegiate Girls’ High pupil has been chosen by President Jacob Zuma – along with six others – to form the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) board.

Ayanda Bambiso, 29, who previously made the Mandela Bay Business Chamber Top 40 under 40 list, is no stranger to high-profile positions – she was the head of protocol at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium during the 2010 Fifa World Cup. Her responsibilities included the planning and successful execution of airport and stadium operations for heads of state, Fifa, Safa and other dignitaries.

She also had a stint at the Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment World as their public relations and entertainment manager. Bambiso, a former SA Students Congress (Sasco), leader is also the Umhlobo Wenene FM marketing manager.

She was looking forward to her new position, although her role and responsibilities would only be determined after the board’s fist meeting, Bambiso said.
