Moosagie’s wife trades diamonds for toilet duty

Kathryn Kimberley

THE glamorous wife of missing Port Elizabeth millionaire Amier Moosagie will trade her diamond rings for latex gloves to scrub toilets at Livingstone Hospital as part of her court- ordered sentence for theft and fraud.

She will also be cleaning the hospital wards and mopping the bathroom floors after she was ordered by the Port Elizabeth Regional Court this week to clean up after patients at Livingstone.

When she is not doing the job of a general cleaner, she will be under house arrest.

Baheejah Moosagie, of Malabar, was found guilty of defrauding the South African Revenue Service (SARS) out of almost R40000. She was convicted on 55 counts of theft and 113 counts of fraud.
