Bay golden oldies recognised

EASTERN Cape golden oldies were given a chance to shine yesterday at an awards ceremony in Port Elizabeth for senior citizens.
The event, organised by the Golden Oldies Fundraising (GOF) club, dished out category awards for the Senior Citizen of the Year.
Port Elizabeth's Raymond Weiss, 73, was tagged as the 2013 overall Senior Citizen of the Year at the Protea Hotel Marine.
"I feel like someone who just won an Oscar. It's totally amazing. I am absolutely thrilled," he said.
The awards had 58 nominations with entries received from Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage, Despatch, Grahamstown, King William's Town, East London and Jeffreys Bay.
