ALL Audiey Pearton wants is to be able to grow her own vegetables in her garden at her Luneville Road, Lorraine, house, but leaking water and sewage that has flooded her yard has made this impossible.
For the past three months, Pearton, 86, has had “endless fights with the municipality” to fix the leaks which have already caused damage to her house.
“The whole thing has ruined my vegetable garden. It got worse two weeks back as now it was no longer water but I think the sewerage system is also blocked as there were human faeces, toilet paper and condoms all over my yard. My son had to come and clean up everything,” she said.
