Home a ‘living hell’ thanks to rowdy neighbours

AN EASTERN Cape couple whose rowdy next-door neighbours have made their life intolerable for the past four years are now hell-bent on having the filthy, overcrowded boarding house shut down.
The family live in a leafy suburb in their dream Victorian home, but say ever since the house next door was turned into a hostel, their lives have become a “misery”.
The offending property is owned by an employee of the Premier’s Office in Bhisho, who has already been taken to task over several other “slums” owned by her.
The family has had to contend with noise, unsanitary conditions and people having sex in cars outside their home, which they share with their two sons.
And, although the municipality has finally ruled to close the noisy student digs next door, it has yet to act on the council resolution taken last October.
