A traumatised Mthatha father told yesterday how he was forced to watch as four men brutally – and repeatedly – gang-raped his wife and teenage daughter in a terrifying four-hour ordeal.
The man’s 23-year-old son was also shot in the face.
Speaking from the Nelson Mandela Academic Hospital yesterday, where he was being treated for head injuries and a black eye, the visibly upset man said he had been awoken in the early hours of yesterday by noises in the kitchen.
I thought it was one of my children,” he said. However, when he looked again, four men were standing at his bedroom door, shining torches directly on him and his wife and demanding money, his laptop and a gun.
The stunned 47-year-old man was then allegedly assaulted and his hands tied behind his back with TV cable.Click here for more on this story in our e-Edition on Tuesday.
