SANParks free this week

This week all South African national parks are free for entry to anyone with a valid identity document.

The launch of SANParks Week took place at Addo Elephant National Park in the Eastern Cape on Monday  September 12.

The week-long campaign was officially launched by The Minister of Environmental Affairs Dr Edna Molewa under the established theme “Know Your National Parks”. The campaign allows locals with valid identity documents an opportunity to spend a day at a national park of their choice free of charge.

Total South Africa partnered with South African National Parks for SANParks Week. The partnership spanning over 10 years continues to focus on delivering positive social impact for members of the community as custodians of the national parks.

The launch included activities such as a choir competition with four regions competition; Cape Region, Northern Region, Kruger National Park Voices of the Wild and Frontier Region which won the competition.
