Directed by Clint Eastwood, the film stars Aaron Eckhart, Laura Linney and Tom Hanks and tells the story of pilot Chesley ‘Sully’ Sullenberger.
Sullenberger’s heroism captured the world’s attention when, in 2009, he landed US Airways Flight 1549 by gliding the plane along the water in the Hudson River in New York City.
After a troubled take-off, Sullenberger’s bravery and emergency landing managed to save all 155 of his passengers.
