Budding presenters have only a day to go until entries close for the TLC Next Great Presenter search closing on Monday.
Launched last month, TLC Next Great Presenter competition will feature high-profile judges that include the likes of radio DJ, actress and television presenter Thando Thabethe, who knows first hand what it takes to be successful in the entertainment industry.
Thabethe said she would be looking for someone with “star power”.
“Someone who is brave enough to be 100% themselves, someone who has a good head on their shoulders and will be strong enough to handle the pressures that come with this industry,” Thabethe said.
Other judges include Multichoice head of content Aletta Alberts, editor of ZAlebs.com Zee Dladla, celebrity publicist and communication strategist Jarred Doyle and Discovery Networks CEEMEA vice president of channels Lee Hobbs.
With a chance to win a trip to London and present a brand new series called, TLC’s Most Extreme set to premier on the channel next year will see 12 semifinalists being put through their presenting paces by the judges and industry experts as they undertake screen tests, performance coaching, fashion styling, including brand and media training.
For a chance to become TLC’s next African presenter, those interested are encouraged to visit the Next Great Presenter website and submit and 90 second video audition showcasing their presenter skills.
