June has all the planetary activity anyone needs to have a breakthrough month. Not only do we have a second full moon in Sagittarius (a somewhat rare event) but there are several planets changing direction, a Venus transit of the Sun and, speaking of ol’ glow face over there, he has a solstice to celebrate. But what does it all mean for you? Well, lots of different things. Which is why I am excited to be your guide as we navigate through these waters. I will say this now, though: Be prepared to make the most of some magnificent opportunities.
ARIES (March 21 – April 20)
There’s someone in everyone’s life who they care deeply about but can hardly stand to be around. We all know who that person is. Often, we are all too quick to point out their faults to anyone who will listen. But if anyone else speaks about them that way, we get quite upset! Our feelings aren’t completely rational. If you were to pour them out of a bucket they would run up the hill. Lock them in the house and they would cycle past you on the way to the shops. That’s OK. Don’t fight the way you feel this week. But don’t surrender either!
TAURUS (April 21 – May 21)
This advice from Jonathan applies to you today: ‘If there is something you can’t do, it is probably something that you do not need to do. But please note I said “need”. I didn’t say “want”. Very often in life, we want to do what we don’t need to do and, er, well, you know, the other way round, too. So, even when we are doing what we need to do, we don’t always enjoy it. And when we are doing what we don’t need to do? We can feel as if we are having the time of our lives! But you need to do what you need to do for a reason. And you can do that!’
GEMINI (May 22 – June 22)
‘Traders make money by finding goods they can buy cheaply and sell at a higher price. Marketing professionals charge traders to help them present their offerings as classier and more valuable. The rest of us just have to keep on spending and everyone is happy. Well, kind of! But if the financial system is based on peculiar principles, our emotional transactions are even stranger.’ Jonathan’s observations are true for you right now. It feels as if you are offering someone a pretty good deal. Don’t be tempted into selling yourself short. Your sense of self-worth is on the rise.
CANCER (June 23 – July 23)
What is better than hiding in plain sight? Hiding out of sight of course! It’s much harder to see what is hidden than what is blending into the surroundings right in front of our eyes. Though this seems obvious, we can lose sight of this and our vision becomes blinkered. You may notice yourself reacting differently over the next few days. You are feeling a little more excitable, passionate and harder to placate. What’s changed to bring about this shift? Look straight ahead and you’ll see it. But you might need to be standing in front of a mirror… Hear your rewarding in-depth June forecast.
LEO (July 24 – August 23)
Follow Jonathan’s guidance today: ‘Is it really so bad to have too much of a good thing? Surely it’s worse to have too much of a bad thing? While a good thing can become a bad thing if you have too much of it, if you have a bad thing, it is a good thing to have little of it. Still, though, the ultimate aim is surely to achieve moderation in all things – even in excess! It’s OK to have too much, as long as it is only a little too much. So, how much is too much? In your emotional life now, you’ve got just the right amount of what you need the most. Relax!’
VIRGO (August 24 – September 23)
It’s always in the last place you look. But of course it is! Why? Because once we’ve found it we stop looking! Or do we? Emotions, for instance, are not really the same as misplaced car keys. Unresolved feelings are not quite the same as a mismatched pair of socks. Sometimes we can become so used to searching that we continue through sheer force of habit. It’s almost as though we’ve forgotten how to acknowledge what we do have. Take a moment, are you certain that what you seek is not already in your possession?
LIBRA (September 24 – October 23)
Life isn’t fair. The world doesn’t obey the principles of equality. If anything, nature appears to thrive on the idea of selfishness. We spend our time as parents teaching our children to share their toys. Then when they’re adults we send them off into the world to carve their own niche and take what they can get. If we desire to see a kinder world, to achieve it we must be the architects of that change. Humanity has the capacity for benevolence even in the most testing situations. Act on your principles today.
SCORPIO (October 24 – November 22)
One definition of happiness is to be doing something you enjoy whilst simultaneously looking forward to doing something else you’ll enjoy in the near future. Then perhaps the definition of sadness is the opposite? Unfortunately we all have periods of the latter. But perhaps we can also take this definition and change it around it to improve our outlook? Today, if you’re doing something difficult, look forward to the knowledge you’ll soon be enjoying yourself again. And if you’re enjoying yourself already, keep going!
SAGITTARIUS (November 23 – December 21)
My son is a Sagittarian. And no one can embody the Sagittarian spirit quite as much as a two-year-old boy! And along with that adventurous spirit, of course, come all those unintended consequences. Discovering new things, having new experiences, exploring new opportunities. Inevitably, like most toddlers, he has his share of stumbles, bumps and bruises. Each time he gets better at cushioning his fall and, as he learns to keep his balance, the falls become less frequent. Don’t be disheartened if you too stumble. Pick yourself up, dust yourself down and soon all will be well.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 20
Is ‘wrongness’ a flawed concept? Of course things can be incorrect, but does that mean they are actually wrong? An incorrect calculation can be part of the journey towards solving a tricky problem. A failed experiment can sometimes tell you just as much as, or more than, a successful one. So, try not to see things in terms or right and wrong today. It is rarely so black and white. Look instead at the benefits of experience. You haven’t got far to go before you achieve what you desire. Accept that some delays are just part of the journey.
AQUARIUS (January 21 – February 19)
One of the finest acts on the folk music scene is Josienne Clarke & Ben Walker. Their beautiful music is juxtaposed by Josienne’s irreverent, self-deprecating stage banter. Often she is wittily withering towards some of the more absurd conventions of the genre. But behind every comical criticism it is plain to see that there is great respect and admiration. And this is the key to a successful critique. If you desire to alter someone’s behaviour, first be clear that you care deeply. And, of course, admit that you yourself are not beyond reproach!
PISCES (February 20 – March 20)
What is it that you cannot put your finger on? What an infuriating question! But, if you knew what it was, then I wouldn’t have to ask! It seems that you have everything you need to crack this conundrum. You are informed, articulate and naturally perspicacious. The facts are at your fingertips… and yet you cannot lose the nagging feeling that you are missing a trick, as though there’s still one piece of the jigsaw you need to complete the puzzle. While not everything will be revealed right now, enough will emerge to let you make solid progress.
