THE Réunion Island group Cirquons Flex will perform a trapeze circus show tomorrow night at the Savoy Theatre.

Points de Suspension is about a young woman, played by Virgine Le Flaouter, an impatient dreamer who often expects the unexpected to happen.

Flaouter’s character meets a young man, played by Vincent Maillot, who is the exact opposite. Maillot’s character is focused, cautious and responsible.

Despite their acrimonious meeting, they fall into a world carried by the imagination of love.

Port Elizabeth’s Alliance Francaise cultural and communication officer Hanna Rochetaing said the show was different because it was not the normal circus show people expect, and nor was it a “Cirque du Soleil” act.

“This show does not have clowns and the traditional circus characters. Instead, it is the new way of performing a circus show.”

It is the choreography of love, suspension and acrobatics, she said.

Rochetaing said the show, which starts at 6.30pm, would be performed in English.

No children under the age of six are allowed and ticket prices range from R50 to R100 at Alliance Française or Computicket.
