With both the Rugby Sevens and the Jester Cruises moving to the Mother City, Port Elizabeth residents might be worried that soon there will be nothing left to keep them entertained on weekends or during their free time.

1. Cork Wine Gardens – Sangria Sundays
Cork Wine Garden is situated in the heart of Walmer surrounded by trees and suburban lifestyles. The venue boasts a wine variety that carries over 230 wines from around the world, and even includes some local wines from Theescombe Estates in Port Elizabeth. 2. Sundays River Cruises/Addo Cruises
Experience a unique river cruising or river safari on the Sundays River Ferry cruiser boat and enjoy the exceptional natural scenery and beauty of one of the top rated estuaries in South Africa. A number of tailor made cruise packages are offered, including cruises for occasions such as business team building, sun downers, leisure, bird watching, party, booze cruises and many more. 3. Los Amigos Open Mic
Los Amigos Restaurant offers a range of weekly Sunday activities. Some Sundays there is a live band and alternatively they host an Open Mic competition. Customers are given the chance to showcase their talent, or lack thereof, all in the name of music and fun. You are also more than welcome to make bookings for Sunday lunch at R75pp where you receive a plate of curry & rice/roast potato/chicken and veggies. 4. Treehouse Potjie Sundays
Sundays are very popular with the regular Sunday three-course lunch of traditional potjies and roast potatoes. The starter is served at your table and the main meal is a buffet selection. The Treehouse restaurant offers sophisticated dining on a deck built around two giant yellowwood trees. The view is breathtaking and spreads out over the Colleen Glen Valley. 5. Salsa Sunday at Beunos Restaurant
Located in the lively Stanley Street, Richmond Hill, Buenos Restuarant hosts a salsa dance class every alternate Sunday Afternoon. Each session is 1h 30 minutes and costs only R40.
