RENOWNED nutritionist Sally-Ann Creed will be in Port Elizabeth this week to deliver two talks on the Banting lifestyle that has taken South Africa by storm.
Creed is the co-author of The Real Meal Revolution, which has practically become gospel for many South Africans wanting to shed kilos and live a healthier lifestyle.
Creed will speak at the Granary in Stanley Street, Richmond Hill, on Thursday at 6.30pm, and again on Friday at 8.30am.
She has published five books on nutrition and her first, Let Food Be Your Medicine, was also a bestseller. But nothing could match the runaway success of The Real Meal Revolution, which has already sold more than 150 000 copies since it was published in November last year.
Creed last month also launched a global programme called Banting Buddies, a network of accredited coaches with the know-how to help people lose weight according to Banting principles.
“The entire world is looking at the movement now, with dozens of Hollywood celebrities adopting this way of eating with massive success,” Creed said. She acknowledged that, though technically not new, “the Banting concept has been updated by current scientific knowledge, giving us the best possible opportunity to revolutionise our own health”.
“The Real Meal Revolution is changing the way our nation eats – gaining followers both locally and abroad.”
