Bay artists open exhibition tonight

ANOTHER exhibition which forms part of the National Arts Festival, but will be based in Port Elizabeth, opens in the city on Thursday.

A number of shows and exhibitions which form part of the festival are this year being put on in Port Elizabeth rather than Grahamstown.

After having exhibited in Grahamstown for the past 13 years three Port Elizabeth artists – Jenny Maltby, Anne Mari Burger and Les Bird – have decided to bring their exhibition home and will be exhibiting at the Jan Immelman Hall at St George's Preparatory School in Park Drive. The exhibition is titled Transitions.

Jonathan Liss, the principal of St George's, will open the exhibition at 5.30pm on Thursday and it will run until July 13. Exhibition times are 9am-5pm.
