LUNCH AT LEISURE: Jane Stevenson loves eating out at Fushin

BUSINESS strategist Jane Stevenson took time out of her busy schedule to have lunch with La Femme at Fushin in Stanley Street.

Stevenson, a board and executive council member of Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber joined Boomtown Strategic Brand Agency last year as business development director.

“I enjoy the fact that I can do amazing work with brands and with Boomtown I have the ability to do it with lots of creativity,” she said.

She is also a past chairman and board member of Businesswomen’s Association and national board member of the South African branch of the BWASA, and owned her own business Jane Stevenson and Associates for 11 years.

Stevenson, who usually enjoys the salmon platter at Fushin opted to try the New York – sushi rice with salmon and avocado topped with crumbed prawn, with blueberry white tea.

I have a soft spot for people and animals that are hurting.

I should have studied… Well, since I’m in the business industry, I should have studied economics but facts and figures didn’t quite excite me so I studied psychology.

When I was 16, I wish I knew how to handle criticism better. It’s not something that was taught.

My music weakness is Bon Jovi.

Nothing makes me happier than being with my family.

My favourite items of clothing arebags and jewellery.

I absolutely hate negativity and a “can’t do” attitude.

I am saving towards a family holiday.

I can’t go a day without chocolate.

My favourite places in the metro are the beach, Addo, Kragga Kamma Game Park, Walmer Park Shopping Centre and my home in Sardinia Bay. – Octayvia Nance
