SOME of Nelson Mandela Bay’s best R&B, gospel and kwaito young talent are performing at the Opera House in Port Elizabeth on Sunday.
The artists – aged between 17 and 24 – have written their own music to educate others about life. Azz Veritazz, 18, is among those performing.
“We want to show people that there are still talented artists in the Bay. All we need is their support so that we don’t have to go and look for greener pastures outside the province,” Veritazz said.
“Our music is also different as it is positive and uplifting without the vulgarity associated with American hip hop, for instance.”
The lineup includes Young Lee, The Geniuses, StaticFlo and Deception. The show, at The Barn at the Opera House, starts at 2pm. Tickets (R30) are available at the door. – Yoliswa Sobuwa
