Bay's rarest cars shine on All Clubs Day

SOME of the grand old dames of the motoring world in Port Elizabeth came out to show off their livery at the weekend.

The event took place at the club's premises in Conyingham Road and attracted a few of the city's rarest and finest vehicles.

The All Clubs Day is hosted by the Eastern Province Veteran Car Club.

Fifty-five cars and bikes, ranging from a beautifully restored 1915 Ford Model 'T' LDV to more modern exotics such as a 1982 Ferrari Mondial 8, Porsche, BMW Z4, Ford Mustang Mach 11, Shamrock Cobra and a Silver Shadow Rolls Royce took part. A Ford F100 LDV with a 7-litre Ford Mustang engine was in attendance.

Some very rare cars were also on display including a beautiful Triumph Dolomite Sprint, a 1928 Graham Paige 619 Saloon, Lancia Beta Monte Carlo, and a Jensen Interceptor

Apart from the Eastern Province Veteran Car Club, the MG and Triumph clubs were out in force, together with representatives from the Concept Crew, Harley Davidson and Sports Car Clubs.
