A summer sushi treat
A LIGHT meal of sushi on a hot summer day at Fushin Sushi in Stanley Street saw one of the busiest businesswomen in the Bay, Miglio Designer Jewellery team manager Antonette Hamman take a rare breather.
Hamman is not only an extremely active board member of Yokhuselo Haven, a trustee of the Victims of Family Violence Trust, secretary of the Kabega Park Community Police Forum and co-ordinator of Western Hills neighbourhood watch but also the public relations and events coordinator of the Business Women's Association in Port Elizabeth.
She concedes that not having children – and having a supportive husband – both help but nonetheless, her energy and output are amazing. La Femme caught up with the charity and business dynamo over a sushi lunch of salmon and avocado California roll, thirst quenched over a Japanese ginger iced-tea.
