Hilton brings the best

Lynne Gadd-Claxton

EVERYONE’S favourite cousin will be performing one show of his latest offering, BEE (Best of Everything Ever), at the German Club in Port Elizabeth tonight.

Barry Hilton’s dry sense of humour and expressive facial expressions will have audience members in stitches within seconds of walking on stage.

With 30 years of experience as a stand-up comedian Hilton is one of South Africa’s most prominent comedians and stage personalities.

He is also well-known for being the “dry” barman in a popular South African cider commercial. Hilton received a lifetime achievement award from the annual Comics Choice Awards last year and he will be the opening act at the Hong Kong 2014 Comedy Festival in September.

Hilton, who is moving from Port Elizabeth to Hermanus, has performed his comedy acts to audiences in America, London, Ireland, Amsterdam, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Mauritius and Hong Kong.

His international appeal shows his ability to transcend nationality and age. Hilton’s BEE will showcase some of his newest material and some of the audience’s favourites spanning his 30-year career.

Tickets to BEE cost R100 and can be purchased online www.barryhilton.comor at your nearest Cousins’ DVD store. The 8.30pm show is at the German Club, 5 Lorraine Street.
