TOP international acts are expected to help thousands of Eastern Cape residents usher in the new year at parties around the province.
The lineup for tomorrow’s NYE 2013 New Brighton Beach Party includes Germany’s Ralf Gum, France’s Rocco, Monique Bingham from the US and Britain’s Charles Webster. Kanunu, Point5 as well as DJs Vinny da Vinci, Zero, and Christos, among others, will bring a South African flavour to the event.
The party will see the beach area along the N2 freeway converted into one of the best New Year’s Eve celebration venues in the country, organisers say.
Tickets start at R170 and are available from Computicket. Gates open at noon.
House maestro Vinny da Vinci will also be setting the decks on fire as the headline act for New Year’s Eve celebrations at Hobie Beach and Wells Estate, where more than 100000 revellers are expected to ring in 2014.
When the clock strikes midnight, event organisers will set off fireworks at both venues.
The celebrations will start at 4pm tomorrow and draw to a close at 2am.
DJ Vinny will first play a few sets at Hobie Beach before heading to Wells Estate.
Both events are free.
At KwaNgqoko in New Brighton, the MVP DJs will be on the decks.

“We are expecting close to 500 people for this event.
“They will be entertained by PE’s own Chapter 3 and Eezy E. Hopefully people will have lots and lots of fun,” she said.
News Café at the Boardwalk will host a “hats-off” party.
Spokeswoman Sandy Zoetmulder said: “We have an exciting lineup of DJs.
“Also, the best-dressed hat will win a picnic basket from JC le Roux. On the ones and twos we will have DJs Urban Blaq, RS and LKay.
“The good news is that there will be no entry fee.”
