WITH a tag line like “the little bar that rocks”, you can be sure at Castro’s you will also be rocking on the dance floor.

This quaint nightclub situated in Port Elizabeth’s Mount Croix suburb is packed virtually every night of the week. Music ranges from old school rock to the hottest dance hits.

Entrance is free and the prices of drinks are easier on the pocket, meaning patrons can afford to enjoy another night out on Castro’s dance floor this festive season.

Castro’s is usually open from Wednesday until Saturday but as part of the festive season vibe, will be open from Tuesday until Saturday with specials every night.

Happy hour is between 8.30pm and 9.30pm. To begin with, R5 for a double brandy and Coke with the price increasing by R10 every hour until the cost reaches R25. In other words, at 9.30pm the price will be R15 for one hour and then at 10.30pm the price will be R25.

A glass of vino will cost R5 and tequila R10 all night.

Castro’s first came onto the Port Elizabeth nightlife scene 12 years ago and has grown in popularity ever since.

The bar is in an area with limited parking space but head out early and enjoy happy hour with friends while securing a parking, or take a cab.
