Comedy goes bling

THE acclaimed "Blacks Only Bling Bling" comedy tour comes to Port Elizabeth this weekend as part of a national tour.

With some of the country's top comedians on stage in the Boardwalk International Convention Centre for one night only on Saturday, fans can enjoy a night of comedy with a difference.

On stage will be Marc Lottering, Skhumba, Jason Goliath, Thapelo "Tips" Shampoo, Chris Forrest and the country's top comedienne, Tumi Morake.

The MC for the night will be David Kau, who was MC for Blacks Only nine years ago when the show started. Lottering, who joined the Blacks Only lineup direct from Strictly Come Dancing South Africa, is one of South Africa's top comedians and has been in the funny business for 13 years.

Forrest has been at the forefront of the South African comedy scene since the late '90s.

His unique dry sense of humour, quick wit and intelligent comedy has ensured audiences are left in stitches wherever he goes.

And leading comedienne Morake will be on stage direct from her debut at the Edinburgh Festival.

Tickets are on sale from Computicket, starting at R211 per person. The show starts at 8pm.
