Williams makes 'Idols' top 16

PORT Elizabeth's Christina Williams has advanced to the top 16 of reality TV talent contest Idols.
Williams, 21 – one of 33 singers vying for a spot in the top 16 – could not believe it when judge Gareth Cliff told her she had made it. "There is a rumour that I am against PE people. Are you also from PE?" Cliff said before breaking the good news last night.
Another Port Elizabeth hopeful, Edward Allen, 26, did not make it. The public will now start voting for their favourites. – Yoliswa Sobuwa
