Waxing lyrical over new twerk anthem

SOUTH Africa finally has a potential twerk anthem, and it comes from the most unlikely of candidates – actress and dance choreographer Khabonina Qubeka's seductive Wax It.

The Step Up or Step Outjudge would be the first to admit she is no Whitney Houston vocally, and she has been reminded of that countless times by detractors pouring cold water on her music releases, but this ditty is pure fun. Sonically, it is reminiscent of Busta Rhymes and Nicki Minaj's Twerk It.

While she doesn't twerk (shake and bounce her hips) in the video she booty hops like Destiny's Child in the late '90s, and oozes seduction.

Doing what she does better, Qubeka is releasing her first fitness DVD at the end of October. She recently played Maxine in The Wild, and is working on releasing a new album.
