Pixie cut may be good after all

YOU know that pixies have become pretty pervasive when even your editor says, "but you've just done a few articles on them". Nonetheless not a day seems to go by without another celebrity opting for shorter hair. So unless more of them decide to follow Michelle Williams and grow their hair I am afraid I can only write about what's happening.

Still if you had told me a week ago that Beyonce would be the next to go for a chop I think I would have been betting against it happening. Though I suppose if you have got your hair stuck in a fan during an on-stage performance, as happened recently, the temptation may be stronger.

Not to mention that it can't have done her hair's condition any good either; whatever the reason though she's yet to say anything.

On to the hair which I quite like. Cropped round the back and sides but longer on top, it is soft and feminine with a little androgyny for interest.

The cut will work for most hair types but remember if you have curls be prepared to make friends with your GHD again.

It is also not a cut I would recommend of anyone with a large face as it will tend to make it look larger.
