Putting the icing on the cake

THIS cake decorating book is as delicious to look at as its subject matter will be to taste.

Although aimed at those who have already dipped their fingers into icing-sugar cake decorating, there are a few ideas that someone relatively inexperienced might try.

Decorating Cakes encourages new decorators to have a go, and those with a little experience to try something more challenging for special occasions ranging from weddings, christenings and birthdays to anniversaries or any occasion that calls for a celebration.

It’s divided into three chapters: the first is made up of easy recipes for novices. The second chapter is for more experienced decorators, but with a bit of practice, anyone can do it. The third chapter introduces piping and modelling paste. You’ll need time and patience for these beautiful creations.

Every recipe comes with clear step-by-step photographs and a picture of the finished cake. At the back there are pages of information to help you master the art of cake decorating. Every recipe is triple tested in the Australian Women’s Weekly test kitchen.
