ARTIST Diana Graham, of the Eco-Shrine at Hogsback, and a fellow artist from Cape Town, Fiona Almeleh, have an exhibition at the Coach House Gallery of the Ann Bryant in East London, opening on Thursday April 25.
According to Graham, the exhibition is called “Deeply Ecological” and comprises paintings and embroidered sculptures.
“The images are all made from the eco-centric rather than anthropocentric viewpoint and are therefore unusual, possibly unique,” she says.
“I am also very interested in giving artistic expression to the scientific facts regarding the formation of Earth and life on Earth. This is also unusual in the mainstream art world.”
Poet Prof Dan Wylie, of the English Department at Rhodes University, will be opening the exhibition. For more information visit www.ecoshrine.co.za/deeply_ecological
