PORT Elizabeth is to host a two-day spiritual retreat in Colleen Glen this month, with Cape Town-based “teacher of consciousness” Natalia Baker leading the course.
Baker’s courses and talks have been presented in eight countries. She was resident book reviewer for SATV’s Free Spirit, which showed films on her life as well as her work with women on her course “A Path to the Feminine Divine”.
She writes for alternative magazines in South Africa and the USA and her book, Seize the Day, A Guidebook for Changing Times, is due for publication soon.
“She is a really remarkable woman and I believe her insights into topics such as the ‘divine feminine’, the nature of relationships and how to navigate these changing times with mind, body, soul, not only intact but thriving, will be of real interest,” said Jean Wildervanck, who is bringing Baker to Port Elizabeth.
“She speaks with warmth, wit and wisdom and participants on her retreats and courses make appreciable progress under her loving and skilled guidance.”
Baker will be in Port Elizabeth this weekend, to speak on the theme “The Coherent Field of Love” at an evening dialogue to be held in Walmer from 6.30 to 8.30pm on Sunday.
She will also present a Saturday forum from 10am to 4pm at the Act Centre in Target Kloof on Saturday, with the theme “You Are the Gift”.
This forum will look at “how we change and how everything around us changes as we become conscious, whole and complete once again”.
The weekend retreat will be held at Bichana Lodge in Colleen Glen, from July 13 to 15.
“It is designed to gently and powerfully peel away the outer layers that prevent you from experiencing and living the awareness, simplicity, wisdom and love of the Presence, your essence,” said Baker.
“It’s about opening up, going beyond the mind and trusting yourself.
