Diverse panel to inspire businesswomen to new heights

A DIVERSE panel of regional and international business women will be addressing a networking session this weekend with the aim of inspiring women to excel in business.
“Vision4 Women will be hosting a business networking session to revive dreams of women who aspire to start and grow their businesses in 2012,  by motivating and inspiring them to forge forward through stories of women who are climbing up the business ladder,”  Vision4 Consulting founder Nosi Ncoyo said.
“Pearl Canty, a South African who has been in the United States  for 10 years and is now our Vision4 Women goodwill ambassador in Washington DC, will share her journey to the US, how travelling broadens ones mind and business opportunities for South African women she has identified in the US.”
Marketing specialist Canty  was part of the team which established the pro bono department of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer and Feld LLP, a Washington DC- based international law firm.  She then moved to Time Warner Cable where she is involved in marketing both e-commerce and distribution sales channels. In addition to Canty, other women based in the city will also speak at the event.
“We have invited Mandlakazi Skefile to share with us the growth and economic development role played by  Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism and possible business opportunities for women,”  Ncoyo said.
“We also invited Bridgette Gasa, managing director and CEO at The Elilox, to share her business success.”
Award-winning young designer Thabo Makhetha and the Businesswomen’s Association regional winner Zibu Ndikinda, an entrepreneur and environmental specialist, will speak on what they have found to work in  their respective  fields.
The session can host 120 delegates and will be held from 2pm on Saturday at the Kelway Hotel. Tickets are R100 and available from Vision4 offices.
