PR students focus on health and human abilities

VARSITY College’s  first year public relations students applied their creativity, skill and knowledge during an on campus awareness  period from August to September  for non-profit organisations of their choice.
The students were encouraged to think outside the box and come up with new and innovative ideas and activities to raise funds and create awareness for the organisation they chose.
Activities included blindfold beauty contests for Cansa, rockstar contests for the Association for Persons with Physical Disabilities and on-campus treasure hunts for the Nkosinathi Foundation. These activities were designed  to remind the students of the gift of the senses and the importance of maintaining your health.
The students raised over R2000 for the organisations.
