Win a dream wedding with The Herald

ONE lucky visitor to The Herald Bridal Fair at the end of next month, can win a wedding fit for royalty at The Plantation in Sardinia Bay  worth R150,000. The Plantation was voted SA’s top wedding reception venue for the second consecutive year in the 2010 National Vow Awards –  for its service and cuisine.Now the owners want to treat one engaged couple to a fairytale wedding experience.
Here’s what the prize holds in store:
THE PLANTATION is offering a reception for 150 guests, worth R80150. This includes welcome cocktails, a top three-course menu , including canapés, starters and a main course, prepared by The Plantation’s international chef, and champagne for toasts. Linen, cutlery, crockery and glassware is included.
The winning couple will also enjoy complimentary use of The Plantation Chapel and ballroom, and the bridal suite, and a vintage horse drawn carriage. The total value of The Plantation prize is R65600.
Music and sound equipment from Enjoy Productions, The Plantation’s in-house DJ, valued at R3550.
Designer Décor Rental props to suit the wedding theme, to the value of R4000.
Floral Creations, The Plantation’s in-house florists, are sponsoring flowers to the value of R7000.
STANLEY ISLAND will provide five nights at Stanley Island Lodge in Plettenberg Bay, the only privately owned island in South Africa. This includes dinner, bed and breakfast, and a sundowner cruise on the Keurbooms River, worth R10000.
TAVCOR MOTORENT will chauffeur drive the wedding party in an Audi A4, and give the newlyweds the use of a Polo Hatch 1.4 for the honeymoon week, with a service value worth R8512.
JASON KIECK DESIGNS   will create a made-to-keep, hand-made wedding dress for the bride, to the value of R6500.
IMAGES 1 HAIR ACADEMY  will offer a package valued at R7060. It includes: a wash, treatment, cut and blow dry once a month for a year, valued at R4200 for the bride, as well as a party package for the bride and three members of the bridal party, valued at R950. Plus a Paul Mitchell hamper including shampoo, conditioner, treatment and styling aid valued at R1000.
Images 1 Hair Academy will give the groom a Paul Mitchell hamper with shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream and a styling aid valued at R910.
JENNI COLLECTIONS is offering  Swarovski crystallised jewellery to the value of R4000. The bride will receive a necklace, earrings and bracelet, valued at R1500, and three jewellery gifts for her matron of honour or bridesmaids, each valued at R400. Each mother will receive a jewellery gift valued at R500, and the flower girl will receive a gift valued at R300.
CONFETTI EVENTS will provide a complete wedding planning service to the value of R8000.
STARBURST DELI will create a designer wedding cake, Death by Chocolate, with chocolate decorations, for 150 guests, valued at R3800.
KAREN ENGLAND will hire outfits for both the Mother-of-the-Bride and groom, two bridesmaids and two flower girls, to the value of R3500.
HEINZ IN STYLE will hire five suits for the fathers, best men and groom, to a total value of  R3300.
PRO DESIGN PHOTOGRAPHERS will provide a wedding package to the value of R5500. This includes  120 jumbo prints, six A5 size prints, four A4 size prints and one A3 size print.
BRAD PEENS PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY  will make a high definition cinematic three-minute wedding highlights music video, valued at R3100.


PAPERMASTER  will provide customised wedding stationery to the value of R3800.


RAFI’S APPLIANCES AND MATTRESSES will give the newlyweds a Rest Assured Restoflex Orthocoil double base set, valued at R7999.



Local entries must be hand-delivered to the Win a Dream Wedding competition box at The Plantation stand at the Bridal Fair at the Feather Market Centre from May 28 to May 29, with entries closing at 3pm.
