Port Elizabeth osteopath Dr Gillian Nutt will give a talk titled, “Healing from leukaemia surrounded by angels” on Saturday, March 24, from 9am to 10.30am at 104 Main Road in Walmer.

The talk shares her journey of healing and how she encountered human and non-human “angels” along the way.

“After a very brief visit to Livingstone Hospital I was sent to Provincial Hospital. There they had exactly the right treatment for my condition, not available anywhere else. Angels at work,” Nutt said.

“People I had hardly known before appeared and became good friends, helping to drive me around when I was not able to drive myself.

“They drove me to the hospital for chemotherapy sessions and came to fetch me again.

“My family and friends cooked food for me or left food in the fridge to help on the days when I just didn’t have the energy to cook for myself.

“I was treated by various practitioners, who very kindly offered their services. It all helped me along the way.”

Nutt said she was diagnosed with a very serious chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, saying her doctor described it as “a very mean, devilish type of cell”.

Strange as it may sound, Nutt says she is truly grateful for this experience, which was a period of self-discovery and deep spiritual growth.

Admission cost for the talk is R50.
