The Bay’s largest Art Meander yet kicked off yesterday afternoon and there is a full day of studio visits in store for arts lovers today and tomorrow.

Founded by amateur artist Cindy Oberholzer five years ago, the Art Meander covers oil and watercolour artists, potters and woodturners.

Art lovers may pop in to one of three venues to buy a meander map listing artists and studios that will be open for visitors this weekend.

The meander starts at 9am today and tomorrow and participating artists will close their studios at 4pm each day.

Maps are obtainable from the following three venues, and may only be bought on the days of the meander:

  • Art on Target, 2 Target Kloof, Essexvale. Bretten-Anne, 083-728-5295;
  • Angel Wings Ceramics Studio, corner Alabaster Street and Lower Valley Road, Baakens Valley. Monique, 082-893-0012;
  • Periwinkle Studio, 114 Marine Drive, Schoenmakerskop. Talbot, 082-4969-622.
